DESCRIPTION: EPW - Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, minute repeater chronograph with 30-minute register, 49mm, 18K gold OF original Vacheron & Constantin case with initials to rear, small Jürgensen-style lips, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, strike train jeweled to hammers, greater than 30J, wolf's tooth ratchet wheel, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#5095 to mvt and within case rear, s# within cuvette may be 195095 but fourth digit is uncertain as it is rubbed and largely lost. Gross weight of assembled watch 59.2 dwt (92.1 g). A beautiful example of this high grade complication, we believe this movement was made by Audemars Piguet & Co. for Vacheron & Constantin.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone for all hand settings between 1:00 and 11:59, repeat mechanism not striking when hands between 12:00 and 12:59 and it feels as if the slide is not moving quite enough to trip the all-or-none function, overhaul needed for repeat strike of 12th hour, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, some toning of plate surfaces, few pinpoint surface nicks and very small micro-fine scratches; nearly flawless dial with fine scratch below seconds-register at 5:30; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, dings to rear of band between 3:30 and 4:30, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with some short scratches and surface nicks.
ESTIMATE: $10000 - $20000
